Only good thing about the hotel, apart from leaving it, was its location! See the 'what I didn't like' section for more information about why I didn't like it.

Carbis Bay offers a serene coastal retreat with stunning views, pristine sands, and crystal-clear waters. Whether lounging by Bread & Breakfast or indulging in gourmet dining, every moment at Carbis Bay is a true delight. However, the hotel's location may require careful planning for those wishing to explore beyond the resort without a car. Overall, Carbis Bay offers a slice of paradise for those seeking a tranquil escape by the sea!

We chose the location for a short autumn break and it suited us because of the easy access to St Ives, Mount’s Bay etc. We also wanted to eat at the Ugly Butterfly as we are very keen on Adam Handling’s food.

Heater provided for room as it was a cold day, books to read was a good touch but all the same author ! DVDs to watch an excellent idea , tea and coffee was easy to make in room. , food was great , unfortunately private cottages at rear had barking dogs all night which totally ruined my stay as they were left outside all night barking , this was not the fault of my hosts, and they said they would report to the agents at rear, I would stay again here however and they accommodated my walk in shower wishes which was great

Beautiful white sandy bay with restaurant, bar and toilets.
Beautiful white sandy bay with restaurant, bar and toilets.
Access is via a very steep hill but there is a small car park but costly at £20 a day.
Going down to the beach is fine, but going back up is a struggle, especially in this heat wave we’re currently having!!
Fantastic and comfortable home for our memorable stay to explore south of Cornwall- St Ives, Lizard, Roskilly farm, Lands End, Lapa Valley, Minack, St Michael's Mount and ofcourse all the stunning beaches- Carbis Bay, St Ives, Hayle, etc. 5 min walk to train station and a superb coastal train ride to St Ives for a quid! Loved personal touches to the property, personable and prompt host. Appreciate the welcome afternoon tea. Spotlessly clean. Thanks very much.
Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Great location with a cream tea cafe across the road and a restaurant and a lovely beer garden in the hotel itself. A 2 minute walk to a shuttle train that takes you to st ives and carbis bay in minutes! Only a 20 minute walk to a beach aswell. Lovely stay all round will definitely be back and recommend for anyone.
Adrian was brilliant, really lovely welcome upon arrival. Sorted out our room for an early check in so we could get out and on our way. Again a lovely welcome in the morning and offered to pack us some breakfast for our early leave. The bed was so comfy and made for the most comfortable stay in our three hotel stop of Carbis bay/ St Ives! Thanks
Quiet cul-de-sac location with ample parking. Didn’t need to use the car the whole time we were there; great walking (on the coast path) and easy train access to explore.
Carbis bay beach a short (if steep) walk from the house.
Light and bright inside the property. Comfy beds and nice white linens.
Lovely apartment. Nice and modern with excellent bathroom, bedrooms with very comfortable beds and very well equipped kitchen. Great location for Carbis Bay beach, train station and St Ives. Nice additional touch with the Carbis Bay bag. Would stay again - Thank you!
Amazing Staff and wonderfull breakfast options with cereals, fruits, yogurts and different options of pastry. Nice and clean rooms as well :)
It is quite a down hill walk to the Carbis Bay Beach, but not far! Also a 40 min walk to St Ives through the SW Costpath.
It is a very quiet place, very close to Carbis bay beach, as well as the supermarket. The host is friendly and provides coupons for fun activities at Cornwall. Very detailed introduction info near the house. We will definitely come back.
Breakfast excellent, location fine as close to lovely Carbis Bay though immediate area rather depressing as among council-house type buildings.
Found the interior decor depressing too! Outside patio/garden was great.
Very cool, authentic, old pub, which I loved. The patrons and staff were very friendly. I felt like I was staying at a neighborhood hangout, not a hotel.
The restaurant/pub is wonderful.
The hotel was along the highway, near Tesco, and also the bus station. There is an access foot path going to the beach for 7-10 mins walk and it just across the hotel.
